Visitation

We want our visitors to Mount Comfort to always feel welcome! Each week, if we are given the information, we will send a card to our visitors, call each visitor, and then visit them in their home to let them know we are glad they came our way!

Missions

Our congregation has many wonderful opportunities for service in our mission program. You could choose to write encouragement letters to our foreign missionaries, volunteer at fundraising events, help with bulletin boards, or even spend some time during the summer to serve the needs of others in a foreign country. From a few hours of your time to a week or more a year, whether behind the scenes or on the front lines, there is a place for you in our missions ministry.

Banford House

Our weekly food pantry (Banford House) is open to the public on Wednesdays from 9-11am. There is much to do throughout the week to prepare to feed as many families as necessary. Volunteers are needed to pick up food from the area food banks, put the food on our shelves, welcome people, assist with groceries, and sometimes repackage bulk items.

Intersection

Intersection is an outreach to the homeless and hungry of South Fayetteville. Every Thursday night at 6pm, dinner is served on the corner of MLK and 71B, behind O’Reilly’s at the Genesis church. A weekly menu is posted on Facebook, and cakes are made by volunteers on a weekly basis also. Servers and friendly faces are always needed.

Sonshine School

Mt. Comfort Sonshine School is a preschool ministry of Mt. Comfort Church of Christ. We believe that children are a gift from God, and it is the mission of our preschool to provide a loving, secure, Christ-centered learning environment that meets the developmental, emotional, and spiritual needs of each student. Sonshine School is not a moneymaking facility and we are only here to provide a ministry to the church family and surrounding community.

We only want to cover our payroll and any costs for our program. Sonshine School is always looking for loving and dedicated Christian adults to substitute in our classrooms.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
